Started by North Norfolk Railway, the annual 1940s weekend has become a growing success in the nearby town of Sheringham. With Holt being the second main station on the poppyline, the community have hopped on board the train of nostalgia to join in with this 3 day snapshot into time gone by. The 1940s weekend is a chance to remember the hardships of being on the home front, the courage, resillience and strength of the allied forces and most importantly to pay our respects and gratitude to all of those men that lost their lives in the fight for our freedom.

With many events and activities taking place throughout the weekend, the 1940s weekend is the perfect time to come and explore Holt and Sheringham.
